A ‘SIGNIFICANT’ increase in staff numbers over the ten years is the target set by Scotland’s largest independent public relations, The BIG Partnership, which has relocated to new Glasgow premises.
BIG’s new HQ is Fountain House, Charing Cross, after seven years in Park Circus.
Says a BIG media release: “The move, which involves a £250,000 fit-out, concludes a national round of investment in new offices in Aberdeen and Edinburgh as well as the opening of a new office in Liverpool.
“The agency now has the capacity to significantly increase its 98-strong workforce in the next ten years to help service increasing demand.
“With more than 300 clients, The BIG Partnership has expertise in corporate, consumer, digital and stakeholder communications, offering integrated campaigns to a broad range of private, public and third sector clients.
“For the fifth time in six years BIG has retained its position as the largest UK PR consultancy outside of London, in the PR Week Top 150 annual rankings. The agency was also ranked at no 23 in the top 50 consumer consultancies – the only Scottish agency to make the list.”
BIG founding director, Alex Barr, is quoted, as saying: “2013 is shaping up to be an important year for us and we see increased revenues and positive prospects.
“We have invested in new office accommodation for our Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow teams, while we have also opened our first office in England, with our Liverpool team already making an impact in the north-west.
“We are committed to continuing to deliver what BIG has become known for over the years – results, hard work, innovation and added value.”
BIG has five offices: in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Kirkcaldy and Liverpool.
Barr continued: “The recent opening of our Liverpool office was an important strategic move to extend our existing reach within a market in which we have been active for some years.
“By committing to a permanent operation in the North West of England we are targeting significant growth in the next three to five years as we look to increase our presence across the UK.”
