THE campaign group for Scotland to remain within the UK has taken on a newly-formed agency to handle its strategic and creative communications.
Better Together has taken on Zeitgeist to operate its pro-UK campaign for the 2014 independence referendum.
Zeitgeist has been formed by Simon Scott and Giles Moffatt, who worked together at both Faulds and The Union. Scott was creative director at Faulds and subsequently one of the founders of The Union in 1996.
Moffatt is a communications strategist who has worked with London and Edinburgh agencies including Leith and the Union. Says a Zeitgeist media release: “He has extensive experience of public information and persuasion campaigns, and is one of an elite group of planners in the UK who have earned IPA [Institute of Practitioners in Advertising] Effectiveness gold awards.”
The release continues: “The partners will now plan and develop integrated marketing campaigns to reinforce the positive case for Scotland remaining within the UK. The broader team includes Blue State Digital (digital marketing) and Stuart Feather’s Republic of Media (media planning and buying).”
