THE communications and campaigns manager at older people charity, Age Scotland, has been named convener of the public affairs representative body in Scotland for businesses, charities, trade associations and others.
Lindsay Scott has been appointed as the new convener of the Association for Scottish Public Affairs.
Says a ASPA media release: “ASPA was established in 1998 by public affairs and policy practitioners in Scotland and today has a diverse membership, drawn from businesses, charities, consultancies, membership organisations, and trade associations.”
Scott is a former broadcast and print journalist with over two decades of communications experience with BBC World Service, CNN International, Radio Nederland Wereld Omroep, the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation, Saga Radio and Smooth FM.
He succeeds Alastair Ross, director of public policy with international law firm, Pinsent Masons, who has served as convener for the past three years and now becomes secretary of ASPA.
