A NEW body – set up to market Edinburgh to, among others, prospective visitors – has reportedly “failed to generate any new income after almost a year in operation”.
Writes Brian Ferguson, in today’s Scotsman newspaper, no strategy document has yet been published either by Marketing Edinburgh, which was set up last year by the local authority in Edinburgh and involved the merging of Edinburgh Convention Bureau (which specialises in the business tourism) and Edinburgh Film Focus, which seeks to attract TV and film productions to the city.
