A Scots PR company specialising in food and drink is expanding.
Siobhan Mathers is joining Taste Communications as a senior consultant, with special responsibility for growing and developing the business. A former food lobbyist in Brussels, she was director of public policy at law firm, McGrigor’s, and has extensive experience of the food and drink sector.
She is joined in the business by Charlotte Gosling, an established PR with experience across several agencies working on high profile food business accounts including Waitrose and Starbucks.
Taste Communications was established in the summer to provide a full range of media services for Scotland’s fast growing food and drink sector. It was set up by former stv broadcaster, Stephen Jardine, ex VisitScotland boss, Peter Lederer, and former BBC journalist, Jim Duff, who has now left the business.
Says Jardine: “We’ve had a great start, attracting ten clients in our first five months. But as we further expand we needed to bring onboard the right talent to cope with development. Siobhan and Charlotte will be great assets to a fast growing business.”
Taste Communications clients include Edinburgh restaurants Ondine, Mithas, Khushi’s, Amore Dogs and Porto and Fi, as well as brands including Braehead Foods and Cook School Scotland.
