The marketing manager at STV has been promoted to a newly-created role of 'multi-platform marketing manager'.
Gill Petrie, who has been with STV for six years, will be – says the broadcaster – “required to support STV’s growing digital businesses and services, ensuring marketing strategy and activity is focused on developing relationships with consumers of STV content across all platforms”.
STV goes on to say, in a statement: “The marketing and promotions team will report directly to Gill and she will also work closely with STV’s research and communications teams.
“Over the past three years, STV has established a credible digital business, building new connections with audiences and increasingly engaging with them as customers through the provision of digital services. New services include STV Holidays; STV Casino; and the continued roll-out of STV Local, an innovative network of hyper-local [web]sites providing a unique platform for communities to interact.”
Petrie joined STV as a marketing executive. Before that, she was business marketing assistant at Learn Direct Scotland.
She will report directly to Elizabeth Partyka, Deputy Director of Channels.
The statement quotes Bobby Hain, Director of Channels at STV, saying: “This is a newly-created role that represents the importance STV places on connecting with our audience and customers across every single platform. Gill is innovative, enthusiastic and very considered in her approach towards traditional and digital marketing and is real asset to the STV team. I’m delighted she has been promoted to this very exciting and crucial new role.”
