An Edinburgh-based writing and editing partnership is celebrating surviving the recession and its fifth year in business with the launch of a new website.
Says Bird Morrison of www.birdmorrison.co.uk: “We launched just before the recession hit, and feel we have been successful because we always try to exceed expectation, to really get to know the organisation we’re working for, and understand the background to the brief. Unusually for freelancers, we also have specialist knowledge of several key areas, including financial services and mental health. We have found our reputation has grown organically.”
The company was set up by Alison Bird and Rowan Morrison who, five years ago, were both made redundant after the contract publishing company they worked for folded, It began with just one client, the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland.
