A former chief sub-editor at The Herald newspaper has been appointed head of corporate communications at Fife Constabulary.
Kevin O'Hare – who left the paper four years ago – is joining from the Scottish Futures Trust, the Scottish Government agency set up to 'bring best value to infrastructure projects' such as schools, transport networks and hospitals'. He was communications manager there and had been at The Herald for 15 years.
He left The Herald to become head of strategic communications at the Scottish Drug and Crime Enforcement Agency, before enrolling at Stirling University, where he studied for a Masters degree in public relations.
