AN Oban-based PR and marketing company has announced it is to close down.
A desire to return to working in a PR team – as opposed to working on her own – has convinced Pauline Clifford to close Pure Shores. She will, however, be remaining as the marketing contact for Duart Castle on the Isle of Mull.
In a statement, she said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported Pure Shores since day one. Entering its fourth year of trading, Pure Shores has been a great success, generating approximately a total of £2.3 million worth of media exposure and providing marketing advice for the tourism industry in rural areas across the west coast of Scotland.
“The business has been an amazing experience and an incredible opportunity, allowing me to work with hard working and passionate tourism clients, journalists, suppliers and industry dignitaries in this spectacular part of the world.”
In the statement, she also thanked Highlands & Islands Enterprise, the Princes Scottish Youth Business Trust and her husband, Michael, for their “never-ending support”.
