The head of a Scotland-based media monitoring company has been again appointed a director of the Europe-wide body representing the media evaluation industry.
Jerry Ward, managing director of Press Data, has been re-elected to the 14-strong board of AMEC, the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communications.
Over the past year, Ward has been influential in contributing to the development of new standards in communication measurement during a period which has seen the PR industry beginning to embrace social media and requiring robust methodology to demonstrate its effectiveness.
He told allmediascotland: “My role within AMEC will be to continue to develop relationships with all the major global organisations representing the PR, advertising, marketing and market research industries whilst working on improving quality standards.”
