WHISKY giants, Chivas Brothers, are preparing to welcome a new communications manager to the company.
Jennifer Brophy, a media offficer at Strathclyde Partnership for Transport, has been pinpointed to succeed Lynn Bannatyne, who has worked at the firm for over four years. Bannatyne is leaving a week on Friday to become senior international communications specialist with global biotechnology tools company, Life Technologies. Her remit is to be across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Brophy takes up her position on the fifth of next month at the company’s Paisley HQ.
Says Bannatyne: “My time at Chivas Brothers and the Scotch whisky industry has been fantastic and challenging and I’m looking forward to working in the vibrant life sciences sector.”
Bannatyne, who once worked on the Kirkintilloch Herald, took over as communications manager at the Scotch whisky and premium gin business of Pernod Ricard in September two years ago, following a two-and-a-half-year stint as communications executive.
