LAST year, allmediascotland.com blogger and PR person, Scott Douglas, was writing how he was still “reeling from the shock of hearing what a sober and clean-cut lot the PR community in Aberdeen appear to be”.
It seems nothing has changed, according to this note sent to members of the Grampian PR Group: “I am writing to let you know that, due to lack of numbers, we have had to cancel this year’s Summer Social on the 24 June. We organised a game show and networking event partly in response to the GPRG Survey 2010 in which part of the feedback was that we needed to run more fun events. Those who did book for the event will have their cheque or cash returned shortly.
“We would like to ask for some feedback from you on why you did not wish to attend this event. If we picked the wrong concept, date, venue, etc then it will help us plan for next year.”
