THE deadline is looming for nominations for places on the Scottish committee of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
For the various committee positions – including chair, vice-chair, secretary and treasurer and committee members – nominations need to be in by Friday, 5pm.
The positions will be decided at the CIPR Scotland annual general meeting, taking place a fortnight yesterday, in Glasgow.
Says outgoing chair, Debbie Byers: “Committee members have the opportunity to represent our dynamic industry and co-ordinate the events, training and networking programme to ensure that our members receive maximum return on their membership investment. We need devoted and enthusiastic PR professionals to join the committee on a voluntary basis to maintain the highest standards.
“CIPR Scotland represents more than 700 PR professionals, involved in all aspects of the industry, across private and public sectors as well as the voluntary sector. The CIPR is committed to promoting excellence and underlining the value of PR while making membership meaningful.”
