A PUBLIC relations campaign to encourage people of Scottish ancestry to visit Scotland has been recognised at an Europe-wide PR Awards ceremony.
The Homecoming Scotland PR team has scooped the ‘Travel and tourism’ award at the European Excellence [in PR] Awards. The team involved VisitScotland, EventScotland and the Scottish Government, with Homecoming Scotland itself comprising hundreds of different events throughout this year.
It’s estimated that around £40 million worth of press coverage was achieved by the PR campaign.
