THREE former newspaper journalists have joined the ranks of one of Scotland’s largest PR agencies, The BIG Partnership.
Sunday Mail writer, Julia Hunt, and former Evening Telegraph and Courier journalist, Katy Gilzean, will take up posts at the consultancy’s Edinburgh office; while Nic White, former deputy sports editor at Metro
Scotland, has been recruited as an account manager based in Glasgow.
Says the firm: “With their journalistic backgrounds, Hunt, White and Gilzean bring with them strong communication skills, an extensive knowledge of the Scottish media scene and a comprehensive range of contacts.”
Former Scottish Enterprise senior press officer, Kate Friel, who has over ten years of press office experience at Scottish Enterprise and East Dunbartonshire council, will also start at BIG’s Glasgow branch.
BIG, which was formed six years ago, was recently named the second largest PR agency in the UK outside London in a survey by magazine, PR Week.
These latest appointments take their staff tally to 85 across their four Scottish offices, based in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Kirkcaldy and Aberdeen.
