GLOWING tributes, following its staging last year, has failed to save a media ball, scheduled to take place in Aberdeen later this month, from having to be cancelled.
Yesterday, organisers, the Grampian PR Group – comprising PR practitioners in the north-east of Scotland – announced that “low numbers” was responsible for the cancellation.
The event had been due to take place on the 23rd of this month and the pre-publicity confidently predicted the opportunity to “network with 300 members of the local media, PR and marketing community”.
And included in the pre-publicity were various declarations of a successful evening last year, including from STV, Think PR, Tern Television, the University of Aberdeen and the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce.
