ONE of the key figures behind the marketing campaign, People Make Glasgow, was last night named a winner at awards celebrating the best of Scottish marketing.
Tom Rice, from Glasgow Marketing Bureau, was chosen as Marketing Star of the Year at the Marketing Society (Scotland) Star Awards, held in Glasgow.
Say the organisers: “Tom was integral in the ‘People Make Glasgow’ campaign which quickly became an iconic campaign throughout the [Commonwealth] Games [last year]. The campaign lives on and has helped to create a lasting legacy of volunteering and pride in Glasgow and the warm welcome that visitors to the city will receive.”
