Following a non-appearance last year, what were previously known as the BAFTA in Scotland Awards, but now called the British Academy Scotland Awards, are to make a return this year.
Sunday November 13, in Glasgow, is the date set for the awards ceremony, which will be doling out 15 prizes – in film, TV and games – plus three 'special contribution' ones.
Says a statement issued by the organisers: “Last year was a great year for Scotland’s industry with a number of films including Peter Mullan’s NEDS and Kevin MacDonald’s The Eagle receiving widespread critical acclaim as well as hard-hitting programmes such as The Scheme dominating the headlines.”
Nominations for this year’s awards will be announced on October 17.
