BUCCLEUCH has announced today the appointment of a new estate manager on Bowhill Estate.
Edward Morris will take responsibility for the estate’s operations which include farming, forestry and property – including Bowhill House – in addition to tourism, leisure and outdoor activities.
Edward has worked at Bowhill for the past five years. He said: “It is a great privilege to work on one of lowland Scotland’s greatest estates. Bowhill offers a huge amount to the area and to visitors.
“I look forward to working alongside the estate team to continue developing the estate’s assets and attractions.”
Duncan Mackison, chief operations officer of Buccleuch, said: “Ed comes from a farming background and brings with him in-depth rural and commercial knowledge. His leadership and the extensive skills of the estate team will serve Bowhill well in the years to come.”
Edward studied Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University before qualifying as an MRICS and FAAV rural surveyor. He has also recently been named as a ‘2050 Climate Group Young Leader’; a new Government initiative in Scotland to bring together fresh perspectives to the climate change agenda.
