BPD ZENITH, an asset and service management software specialist supporting key clients in the North Sea oil and gas industry, has gained international recognition for innovation at a prestigious US awards ceremony.
The company – with offices in Aberdeen, Carlisle and Calgary in Canada – was named a winner of a 2015 IBM Beacon Award for Outstanding Software Solution for Service Delivery and Management.
Says a spokesperson: “Each year, a select number of IBM Business Partners who have delivered exceptional solutions to drive business value and transform the way their clients and industries do business in the future are honoured.
“The 2015 awards recognise achievements across a wide-range of areas, including cloud, analytics, mobile, security and social business. BPD Zenith has been singled out for its Maximo Accelerator for Oil and Gas Assets solution, which has been adopted by clients, including Canadian Natural Resources and GDF Suez E&P.”
George Lightfoot, managing director of BPD Zenith, said: “We are delighted that IBM has recognised the real benefit of having our solution in its portfolio. Our out-of-the-box work management model has been created and enhanced over 18 years, during which we have provided innovative solutions to many of the industry’s leading players.
“It brings efficiencies and cost savings to oil operators. If deployed in the cloud it can bring significant savings on both Maximo implementation and maintenance operations. In a time of a depressed oil price, this is great news for the global oil industry and gives companies a differentiator in the marketplace.”
Adds the spokesperson: “The Beacon Awards are an integral part of IBM’s Business Partner recognition program. Announced at the IBM PartnerWorld leadership conference in Las Vegas, the winners are selected by a panel of expert judges consisting of IBM executives, industry analysts and members of the press.”
Marc Dupaquier, general manager of IBM Global Business Partners, said: “To keep up with an industry in transition, IBM Business Partners need to deliver innovative solutions that unlock value for clients in a variety of industries.
“As a Beacon Award winner, we’re pleased to recognize BPD Zenith for helping their clients to transform for the future and drive growth with IBM-based solutions that are on pace to address today’s fastest growing technology trends.”
