Media Release: Aleron Subsea secures multi-million pound contract to supply specialist equipment

AN Aberdeen-based ROV system rental company has secured a muliti-million pounddeal to provide a leading marine services firm with specialist subsea equipment.

Aleron Subsea, which recently relocated its head office from Singapore to new headquarters on the outskirts of Westhill, has won the substantial contract worth £3.1million to supply the company with two work class ROV systems and associated equipment.

The ROVs, which have Tether Management Systems (TMS), 150hp hydraulic power and are 3,000m depth rated, will be utilised for work on shallow and deepwater applications across the globe.

Established in 2010 by Mike Bisset, Aleron currently has eight work class ROV systems, and has extensive experience working in all aspects of the subsea industry, specifically in drill support, pipeline survey, construction support, decommissioning, trenching support and diver support.

The specialist firm currently employs 20 experienced professionals, and plans are in place to recruit additional staff during 2015.
