AN Aberdeenshire manufacturing, engineering and machining firm has invested a six-figure sum in specialist CNC equipment to meet demand from clients.
Insch-based Fabritech UK has invested half a million pounds in new tools and machinery to strengthen the services of its engineering division.
Established in 2007 by Stuart Mackie, Fabritech UK, which operates from a 15,000 square foot fabrication workshop situated in a four-acre site at the Insch Business Park in Aberdeenshire, provides a comprehensive turnkey engineering and fabrication service in steel, aluminum and stainless steel.
The specialist firm has a dedicated stainless steel and aluminum division, as well as general steelwork, verification and assembly bays, and the significant investment has allowed the company to add a waterjet machine, CNC lathes, vertical machine centres, forklift and additional vehicles to its range of specialist equipment.
The company offers a range of in-house services including CNC machining, fabrication, design and load simulation, lifting and profile cutting. Designers are fully conversant with current industry standards and legislative requirements and use the latest Solidworks software, and using aluminum and stainless steel, all products are designed to meet Lloyds and DNV approved offshore standards.
Fabritech UK currently employs more than 20 members of staff in its engineering department and plans are in place to employ a further eight skilled machinists and specialist welders in 2015.
Managing director of Fabritech UK, Stuart Mackie, said: “As a business, we are fully committed to our clients, and our commitment to excellence and safety, customer satisfaction and quality workmanship is the key to our highly regarded reputation.
“Our bespoke in-house services can take a client’s projects from concept to conclusion, and the significant investment will enable us to continue to offer clients a first-class service.”
