Media Release: ITC introduces new rental division to service offering

A NORTH-EAST hydraulic solutions specialist has announced the addition of a new rental division to its growing service offering.

Aberdeenshire-based ITC Hydraulics has invested over £200,000 in the new division, which has been established in response to an increase in demand for the rental of equipment.

The move will now see the company take the entire process in-house having previously sub-contracted various aspects of its rental work.

The rental range, which is to include a wide selection of equipment including both zoned and safe area hydraulic power units and hot oil flushing units, will dovetail with the company’s ability to service and maintain all types of hydraulic and mechanical units across a range of industries.

Ian Clark, managing director of ITC Hydraulics, said: “The creation of our new, in-house rental division really is the next logical step in the growth of ITC and it’s exciting that things have finally come to fruition.

“Previously we weren’t in a position to deal with various rental requests solely on our own and we were relying on outsourcing certain jobs, as and when they came in. Now, using a mix of purchased assets and purpose-built equipment by our specialist team, we’ve established a range of hydraulic products that will be available for both short term and long term rent.

“The core ITC service will remain the design, manufacture and service of all types of hydraulic equipment but we believe the rental aspect will be a welcome addition to our service offering. It will allow us to be better placed to meet the varying needs of both our existing and future clients.”

ITC, which over the last two years has seen its turnover double from £797,000 to £1.59million, has also recently completed an expansion of its mezzanine workspace as it prepares for future growth throughout 2015.

Ian Clark added: “We’ve recently doubled the size of our mezzanine workspace at our headquarters near Oldmeldrum in a move that again consolidates our client offering.

“We want to remain as a leading provider of hydraulic solutions to a range of industries and clients, whether they are major oil and gas firms or local farmers and its developments such as the new division and workspace expansion that will allow ITC to do this.”
