THE Gilded Balloon and Drygate Brewing Co are pleased to announce that the multi-award winning Irish comedian, actor and writer, Dylan Moran, will headline Gilded Balloon Comedy at Drygate when the club returns to Glasgow on Friday 9 January 2015.
The Gilded Balloon are offering Glasgow comedy fans a real treat to kick off 2015 as Dylan Moran test-drives and develops the new material he has earmarked for his forthcoming 53-date UK tour, scheduled for theatres throughout the country from March to May 2015.
Joining Moran on the bill will be the supremely funny and loveable Edinburgh based Geordie, Kai Humphries, and the 2013 Scottish Comedian of the Year, Larry Dean. The evening will be compered by one of the most trusted comperes and respected headliners on the Scottish circuit, Raymond Mearns.
Following the two shows on Friday 9 January 2015 (19:30 and 22:00) Gilded Balloon Comedy at Drygate will resume from 6 February with one show per night on the first and third Friday of the month. The three act shows will run from 20:00 to 22:00 and will feature a line-up of popular Scottish, UK and international comedic talent including Rob Deering, Zoe Lyons, Aisling Bea, Jarred Christmas, Paul Tonkinson, Justin Moorhouse and Jason Cook. The shows will be expertly hosted by the talented comperes; Katie Mulgrew, Chris Conroy, Raymond Mearns and Scott Agnew.
Resident craft beer kitchen and bar, The Vintage at Drygate, are offering comedy audiences a fantastic pre and post show dinner offer of 15 per cent off with valid show ticket. However, dinner must be booked in advance. The tasty menu includes beery mussels, rump steak and artisan cheese boards alongside a 200-strong bottle list.
Gilded Balloon artistic director, Karen Koren, said: “In working in close collaboration with both Drygate and The Vintage we have been able to offer first class comedy, delicious food and supreme quality craft beer all under one roof – a fantastic and affordable night out. Comedy fans have responded well to this unique formula for the city and we are looking forward to bringing some more top class comedy shows to the west coast in 2015.”
