AN Aberdeen-based ROV system rental company is helping to spread Christmas cheer by donating a selection of toys worth £1,500 to a local charity appeal this festive season.
Aleron Subsea, which recently relocated its head office from Singapore to new headquarters on the outskirts of Westhill, pledged its support to Northsound’s Cash For Kids Mission Christmas toy appeal, which was set up in partnership with Bond Helicopters to help ill or disadvantaged children in and around the city.
The appeal calls for people to give toys or make cash donations towards a gift for children who otherwise might not receive a present at Christmas.
Aleron Subsea’s managing director, Mike Bisset, and operations manager, Elaine Young, took time out from their busy work schedules to buy and drop-off a selection of gifts in time for Christmas.
Mike said: “The festive season is a time for giving, but unfortunately there are a lot of disadvantaged youngsters out there who don’t have anyone to buy them presents, and we decided to do our bit to help change this by taking part in the gift appeal.
“Hopefully our contribution will help make a difference, and the extra gifts will put a smile on the faces of youngsters on Christmas day.”
