INTEGRATED communications agency, Citrus:Mix, has added to its team with the appointment of five key members of staff.
The Aberdeen-based business has recruited across its digital, marketing, PR and events divisions to service new business wins and support growth plans for 2015.
Kevin Mitchell has been appointed head of digital and Suzanne Bird as digital account manager, with Emma Stephenson recruited as an account manager in the creative marketing team. Rachel Holdsworth has joined as events manager and Jessica Murphy as a senior account executive in the PR department.
Managing director, Morven Mackenzie, is delighted with the expansion of the Citrus:Mix team at a vital stage in the company’s development.
She said: “Citrus:Mix has become firmly established since the agency was formed in 2012 through the merger of PR specialist Mackenzie PR and creative marketing agency Covey McCormick. We are now looking forward to building upon the skills of the vastly experienced team which was at the heart of the business when we launched.
“There has been significant growth in our client base over the past two years and we anticipate further expansion in 2015. We have exciting plans for the business in the months and years ahead, with these appointments providing a wonderful springboard for growth.

Kevin Mitchell will have a central role in incorporating digital platforms in integrated campaigns on a technical and strategic level. With extensive experience in the sector, he has joined the company from another Aberdeen agency after playing a leading part in its development.
Suzanne Bird supports the expansion of the digital department’s capability, with the Citrus:Mix provision including website design and development as well as a full spectrum of social media services. Suzanne is a communications professional with a focus on digital marketing who has worked widely in the north-east business community.
The creative marketing team has been strengthened with the appointment of Emma Stephenson, who brings a wealth of knowledge to the position having worked for a London-based agency for 10 years and then in the creative marketing industry in Aberdeen following her move to Scotland in 2009. Emma is responsible for heading up a range of client accounts across a wide range of sectors including oil and gas, third sector and property and will play an integral role in the development of the agency’s integrated offering.
Rachel Holdsworth has joined Citrus:Mix from ClubGolf Scotland, where she oversaw the management and organisation of the sports body’s activities and also worked on international golf events. Rachel will be involved in building the company’s events division, with a number of high profile projects already planned for 2015.
The PR department has been bolstered with the appointment of Jessica Murphy, who has moved from the Press and Journal. She joined the paper’s reporting team after graduating with a First Class Honours in English degree from Aberdeen University and an MSc in journalism at Robert Gordon University. Jessica will be responsible for client and media liaison and supporting the copywriting requirements of the marketing and digital divisions of the company.
