AN award-winning North-east builders merchants has raised hundreds of pounds for a cancer charity after taking part in a national fundraising event.
Staff from GPH Builders Merchants, which has branches in Westhill and Inverurie, took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Customers and staff joined together to enjoy a cuppa, accompanied by a selection of home bakes, while donating money to the charity, which offers advice and support to both people with cancer and their families.
A total of £650 was raised between the two branches thanks to the generosity of those who took part.
Additionally, the firm recently enjoyed a busy weekend exhibiting at the Scottish Home Show at the AECC.
Staff manned the company’s stand dressed in kilts to give a truly Scottish flavour to the event, which welcomed thousands of visitors across three days.
The GPH Team even had some VIP guests with visits from TV star, Lorraine Kelly, and celebrity builder, Tommy Walsh.
The leading independent builders merchants, which has been operating in the North-east for over 30 years, offers an extensive range of products for both trade and retail customers.
