A LEADING Aberdeen modular cabin supplier is a contractor for the multi-million pound Forth Replacement Crossing construction project.
Greenwell Equipment (Greenwell), which is headquartered in Aberdeen, has this month supplied further modular accommodation, to add to the existing offices, canteens, laboratories, changing facilities, toilets and showers the firm has already provided to the project.
The new Forth Crossing, to be named the Queensferry Crossing is due to open to traffic by the end of 2016.
The impressive new construction is central to a major upgrade to the important cross-Forth transport corridor in the east of Scotland. The 1.7 miles (2.7km) structure will be the longest three-tower, cable-stayed bridge in the world.
Greenwell, which supplies modular buildings, office cabins, shipping containers, pallet racking, shelving and office furniture to a range of different industries, has recently supplied further office and welfare units, bringing the total of fully fitted-out cabins over the past 18 months to over 120, based both shore-side and positioned on the four construction barges located on the Forth Estuary.
Family-run business Greenwell, which has 15 employees, is the North of Scotland official trading partner for Containex modular buildings.
Greenwell holds a large stock at its depots across Aberdeen and Angus, enabling the firm to respond quickly to customers’ demands.

“The modular cabins are of a very high specification, which can be built up to three storeys high and assembled quickly according to individual specific requirements.
“Over the last 18 months, Greenwell has supplied welfare units, office accommodation, canteens and changing facilities for the Forth Crossing construction barges and the onshore services.
“This ongoing prestigious contract is testament to Greenwell’s excellent reputation for supplying large quantities of high specification cabins at short notice, and on time.”
