INVERALMOND Brewery, the Perth-based independent brewer of craft beers, will be swapping their beer bubbles for 80s pop this weekend, as their flagship beer brand, Ossian, takes pride of place in the ‘Wind-it-Inn’ tent at Rewind Festival at Scone Palace.
Ossian, one of Inveralmond’s most popular beers, is a pale golden ale which has racked up numerous industry awards since it was introduced including CAMRA’s Supreme Champion Beer of Scotland.
The full-bodied beer has a fruity flavour with distinct nutty tomes and a hoppy, zesty orange aroma that makes it a classically refreshing drink.
Ossian already has a celebrity following among 80s artists with punk icon, Captain Sensible, already counting it as one of his favourite beers.
The former lead singer of The Damned (and founder member of the Blah! political party), best known for tracks such as Happy Talk, is never far from a bottle of Ossian and has even been known to drink it on stage while performing.
Bob Hogg, commercial director of The Inveralmond Brewery, commented: “We are really looking forward to Rewind this weekend. It’s always a great festival with a very friendly atmosphere and we’re sure that there will be much ‘happy talk’ going on among those festival goers supporting local businesses such as ours in the Wind-It-Inn.”
