NEARLY 400 people participated in the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon this weekend raising a whopping £250,000 for Mercy Corps and Mary’s Meals.
Widely regarded as one of Scotland’s toughest one-day events, participants in the Artemis Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon endure a grueling 0.8 mile swim across Loch Tay, bag seven munros and cycle 34 miles around Loch Tay to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for the two Scottish charities.
The event, which is organised by Perthshire based, WildFox Events, saw team mates Jonathan Macneal and Angus Thomson cross over the finish line within a second of each other in just 9 hours and 42 minutes.
Alison Stewart (63) from Ballinluig proved age need not be a barrier to taking on tough endurance challenges. She crossed the finish line in 15 hours and 15 minutes with her partner, Anita Prentice who is from Garndtully.
During the past 14 years, WildFox events have raised more than £25 million pounds for charity.
