A LEADING Aberdeen IT and software company has won a prestigious business award in recognition of its commitment to its employees.
Indigo Technologies, which is headquartered in Aberdeen, was named as Employer of the Year at this year’s Grampian Awards for Business Excellence Awards, which is run by Enterprise North East Trust (Enterprise) along with headline sponsors, RBS – Ahead for Business.
These awards celebrate business success in the North East of Scotland and recognise innovative companies, up and coming businesses, those who overcome obstacles to achieve success and inspiring entrepreneurs.
Indigo, which delivers IT solutions to a range of small organisations as well as global oil and gas companies, was launched in 2005 by directors Sean Thomson and Dave Senior, and currently has 120 clients and a 95 per cent client retention rate.
The specialist company strives to maintain a positive working environment for its 10 members of staff by promoting continual personal development, resulting in high levels of job satisfaction and a loyal, motivated team.
Sean and David have found that the introduction of smart working practices including flexible and home working are ideal for creating a happy – and effective workplace.
Mr Thomson said: “Creating a positive working environment works two ways with a big element of trust and support across the company. Each individual is an asset to the business, and providing our staff with a positive working environment has helped to ensure productivity is high.
“This award recognises the dedication of our staff to ensuring that always go the extra mile for our clients.”
