CITY dwellers who have found their dream family home is financially out of reach are being urged to check out an attractive alternative.
CALA Homes, the UK’s most upmarket major homebuilder, is holding a part-exchange event at its Murieston Gait development in Livingston, to show how part exchange could be the perfect route into its sizeable four and five-bedroom family homes.
Among the delighted new owners at Murieston Gait are a number who snapped up properties after discovering how much more they get for their money, when compared with Edinburgh prices.
Yet many house hunters still don’t realise that making the step up to a generous family home just eight miles from the city boundary can be made even easier with CALA’s popular part exchange service.
Now house hunters are being invited to find out more at a special part exchange event at the development on June 22, where an estate agent will be on hand to offer advice and expertise as well as access to independent mortgage advice.
Sarah Stanger, sales and marketing director at CALA Homes (East), said: “We were one of the pioneers of the part exchange service and have countless customers who have been impressed by how smooth it makes the whole process.
“Not only are you guaranteed a fair market price for your property, part exchange removes a huge chunk of stress from the entire process. It makes the move as swift and easy as possible for people already juggling busy work and family lives.
“It has proved extremely popular at Murieston Gait, where over 40 per cent of our customers have opted to utilise the part exchange service.
“Despite that, we are always surprised to find out how many people either don’t know about the part exchange option or are automatically suspicious that they won’t get a fair price for their existing property.
“Murieston Gait is already proving extremely popular with those want a family home with easy access to Edinburgh, without having to pay the city premium. So it is also the ideal place for us to showcase the very real benefits of part exchange.”
Founded in Scotland, CALA has built its reputation on the high quality of the homes it builds in developments which are sensitively designed to augment the areas in which they sit. The result is that its homes are not only highly sought after, but retain their value over decades and earn loyalty from owners, who often live in a series of CALA properties.
The Murieston Gait site is a signature CALA development, in an accessible and attractive location, with excellent transport links, including two local train stations and easy access to the M8/M9 motorways.
Among the four and five-bedroom properties available at Murieston Gait is the current ‘Home of the Month’ – a Colville home which is available for £375,000.
All of the light-filled homes at Murieston Gait have spacious rooms, high-quality fittings, extensive storage and sit in a carefully designed development area, with a range of attractive outdoor walks and scenery.
The show home includes quirky touches by designers Luma Interiros which are guaranteed to appeal to families with growing kids. They include the ideal bedroom for fashion conscious teenage girls, inspired by the work of Vivienne Westwood – or a boys’ room which features a bed headboard made out of vinyl records.
