A PRESTIGIOUS hotel on the outskirts of Aberdeen is celebrating after winning a top accolade at the Trend Life With Style Awards 2014.
The Mercure Aberdeen Ardoe House Hotel and Spa, received the Hotel Star award at the fashion and lifestyle awards, which take place every year to highlight local successful businesses and their contribution to the lifestyle in the North-east.
Following a six-figure refurbishment programme at the four-star hotel, Ardoe has continued to go from strength to strength, and judges recognised the extensive work that the hotel has undertaken to transform it into one of the top hotels in the region.
The award-winning Blairs restaurant is the most recent part of the hotel to be transformed, putting it back in the spotlight as one of the best culinary destinations in the area.
Further plans are in place to refurbish the spa and fitness suite, and the transform of the remainder of the bedrooms into luxurious suites. It is anticipated the work will take a year to complete, and a five-figure sum will be spent on each room.
