A SENIOR manager from an award-winning builders merchants has joined the board of the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF).
Nikki Mortimer, sales and marketing director of GPH Builders Merchants, which has branches in Inverurie and Westhill, has been formally elected as a non-executive director on the board of the industry body, which represents and protects the interests of merchants and suppliers to the merchanting industry in the UK.
Mrs Mortimer has been a board director at GPH Builders Merchants, which supplies an extensive product range of materials to the building industry and trade customers, since 2007, and the company’s sales and marketing director for the last three years.
She is a BMF Scottish regional past chair and is an NBG category management team member.
The BMF has over 450 members ranging from small companies to national groups as well as leading building material manufacturers. The Federation represents its members in areas such a legislative issues and provides specialist training and services to the Industry.
Mrs Mortimer, said: “I am honoured to have been elected to serve on the Board of the BMF and look forward to contributing towards the continuing success of the organisation.”
GPH managing director, Mike Maclellan, said: “Nikki has a wealth of experience and knowledge and I am confident she will be a great asset to the board of the BMF.”
