SHEPHERD Chartered Surveyors has appointed Tom Reid as a commercial surveyor in its expanding Ayr office.
A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Paisley-born Reid is an Aberdeen University graduate who, after a brief time abroad, began his career in Glasgow with a national multidisciplinary surveying firm a decade ago before moving to a multinational firm specialising in retail agency.
He also has experience within the residential agency sector, where he spent a number of years working across central Scotland.
Of his appointment to Shepherd, Reid said: “I’m delighted to join a leading firm of surveyors that continues to expand its operations. Since Shepherd joined forces with Bell Ingram Commercial last year, it has become the dominant player in Ayrshire’s surveying market and I’m pleased to be given an opportunity to play a part in the further expansion of these services throughout the region.”
Working closely with all members of the commercial team, Reid undertakes a variety of valuation/professional work whilst maintaining a strong agency focus handling the sale, letting and acquisition of commercial property for a variety of national and local clients.
