AWARD-winning casing accessory and completion tool company, Downhole Products, has announced that its U.S. facility has doubled in size in a move which will lead to the creation of new jobs.
The announcement comes as the company celebrates its 20th anniversary and coincides with the company’s presence at the 2014 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas.
Established in 1994 and with its global headquarters near Aberdeen, Scotland, Downhole Products is a world market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of casing accessories and completion tools such as centralisers, reamer guide shoes and cable clamp protectors.
At 29,000 square feet, the new Houston office and warehouse facility are double the size of previous premises and are located in the World Houston International Business Center in the city’s Greenspoint district.
Downhole Products’ president and managing director, Ian Kirk, said: “The Americas continue to be a key marketplace for us so it is vital that we have the correct infrastructure in place to deal with the needs of our growing client base.
“This new base is ideally located and will provide a springboard from which we can continue to expand our presence.
“We anticipate that ongoing growth in the U.S. will result in the requirement for additional personnel and we look forward to welcoming new faces to the Downhole Products team in the coming months.”
