FANS of the supernatural will be interested to learn that Tachy Studios, a new local production company in Dunfermline, Scotland, has partnered with Cult Classic for Caledonia, Season Two.
Auditions for Season Two will take place at Vivace Theatre School on May 14th from 6-10 pm. Slots do not need to be booked in advance.
Tachy Studios is part-owned by Stuart Gilmartin, whose previous credits include work for Sky Sports and various creative projects.
Caledonia is a Scottish supernatural web programme set in Glasgow and written by a folklorist and historian. The show is based on a series of urban fantasy detective novels.
Says a spokesperson: “The programme was an official selection at LA Web Fest 2014 and has been featured on BBC Radio Scotland and the Glasgow Evening Times.
“The series centres around Detective Inspector Leah Bishop, the hard-drinking human police officer recruited to a special branch of Interpol.
“Her partner is the handsome Victorian selkie Dorian Grey, and her other fellow officers are monsters from Scottish folklore. In last season’s plotline they chased the first serial killer of faeries.”
Season Two, entitled Mortal Souls, will detail more of the monster backstory and a mysterious illness that is taking the humans down.
