LEADING global hotel management company, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, has announced the appointment of two general managers to join its growing UK team.
Paul Borg has been appointed as general manager for Hotel Indigo Newcastle and its Marco Pierre White Steakhouse restaurant whilst Richard Martin has been appointed to the same role at Hampton by Hilton Exeter Airport and its Marco Pierre White New York Italian restaurant.
Borg, who has 15 years’ experience in the hospitality sector, assumes overall responsibility for the boutique Hotel Indigo Newcastle and its 100-seater Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill.
Commenting on his appointment, Borg said: “I’m delighted to join the management team at Interstate’s Hotel Indigo Newcastle, and look forward to continuing to fulfil and exceed customer expectations at this popular city centre hotel and restaurant.”
Martin, meanwhile, joins Hampton by Hilton Exeter Airport with extensive hotel management experience which he brings to oversee the operation of the 120 bedroom hotel and Marco Pierre White restaurant, located adjacent to the hotel at the airport only five minutes from the M5 motorway.
Martin said: “Given its location, Hampton by Hilton Exeter Airport is particularly popular with business and tourist guests and I am pleased to be appointed with overall responsibility for the financial, business and operational performance of this busy hotel whilst ensuring that guests continue to receive an exceptional standard of service.”
