NOT only can diners enjoy the world on a plate at Cook & Indi’s World Buffet in Johnstone this Easter Sunday; they can also make a donation to Yorkhill Children’s Charity as they do so.
That’s because the team at the enterprising restaurant has decided to fundraise for Yorkhill Hospital by selling raffle tickets at £1 a strip with lots of Easter prizes to be won.
Furthermore, all restaurant staff will be working on Easter Sunday in their PJs – and are being sponsored by family and friends for doing so!
All proceeds raised will be donated to Yorkhill to help the families of sick children.
The Easter fundraising effort is organised by Stephanie Thomson, manager at the Johnstone restaurant, who said: “Yorkhill Hospital does an amazing job every day by helping save the lives of many children – from birth to teenagers. Every penny helps towards the care for these young people and their families, so please help us out by donating to this fantastic cause.”
Yorkhill Children’s Charity provides and supports excellence in paediatric, obstetric and neonatal healthcare enhancing the treatment, care and wellbeing of children and their families through The Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill and other hospital and community based services.
