NORTH-east hydraulic solutions specialist, ITC Hydraulics, has enjoyed a hugely successful period within the oil and gas sector recently, securing contracts totalling more than £1million.
The work will see ITC provide a range of both on and off-site hydraulic engineering services to global energy companies.
International drilling, well service and engineering firm, Odfjell Drilling, has awarded the company dual contracts, worth a combined value of £634,000.
Part of the work includes the dismantling of equipment on-board the Piper Bravo and Fulmar platforms. The units will then be transported to ITC’s Oldmeldrum base for overhaul, before being returned and commissioned offshore, fully refurbished.
An additional project will see ITC supply a bespoke winch package for Odfjell Drilling, for the Piper Bravo installation.
The company has also secured a contract with lifting, deck machinery, subsea tooling and excavation specialist, Fisher Offshore, to design and manufacture 14 hydraulic power units.
In another exciting development for the firm, ITC has been appointed the sole Scottish distributor for AMCA (Advanced Machine Control Applications). The strategic partnership means ITC can now offer its clients AMCA’s proportional valves, which can be built, tested and delivered with short lead times and to ATEX certification.
Managing director of ITC Hydraulics, Ian Clark, commented: “We’re extremely pleased to further enhance our reputation within the oil and gas sector with the securing of these contracts.
“We’ve worked hard over the years to ensure that we deliver the very highest standard of service to our clients – an achievement demonstrated by the amount of repeat business we enjoy.
“With our talented staff, innovative facilities and impressive client list, we’re in a strong position to significantly grow the business and position ITC Hydraulics as the number one provider of specialist hydraulic solutions.”
ITC Hydraulics was established in 1999 to service the offshore, subsea, agricultural, mobile and industrial sectors.
Since then, the company has enjoyed consistent growth and now operates out of a state-of-the-art facility – which covers 6,000 sq ft – near Oldmeldrum, close to Aberdeen; the Oil and Gas Capital of Europe.
ITC offers a vast range of products, from BOP (Blow Out Preventer) closing units to umbilical winches, and its client list includes some of the energy industry’s key players, including Subsea 7, Aker Solutions and Oceaneering.
As well as the bespoke design and manufacture of new equipment, ITC also services, maintains and refurbishes all types of hydraulic and mechanical units, across all industries.
