PENNY Brodie, chair of the board of Perth College UHI, is delighted to announce today the appointment of Margaret Munckton as new principal and chief executive.
Margaret has been acting principal and chief executive since October 2013. She joined Perth College UHI in 2007 as director of Strategy and Financial Planning, before being appointed to the role of assistant principal, Curriculum and Planning in 2008.
Penny said: “Margaret has always put the student at the heart of what we do. She has led the curriculum to great success with an excellent Education Scotland report, and increased student retention and attainment, encouraging and valuing the hard work and commitment from staff during this journey.
“I know that Margaret will build on her track record and lead the college to its next level of success and I wish her every success for the future.”
Margaret Munckton said: “I am proud of what we have achieved at Perth College UHI, supporting students in their college and university education that will help them gain employment and develop their careers.
“I am delighted to be leading the college to continue our work in meeting the economic, social and cultural needs of our communities.”
