MBA Ltd (Maggie Braid Associates) has recently announced the appointment of Christopher Doan as finance director for the company.
Based in the company’s city centre headquarters at Regent Road, Aberdeen, Mr Doan will be working closely with the existing team of directors as well as being hands on with the various departments of the business to help them plan and manage their budgets.
Mr Doan brings with him over twenty five years’ of expertise in the financial field having gained experience in both accountancy practice as well as in industry, enabling him to appreciate both sides of accountancy.
“My experience in accountancy practice has been invaluable whilst the skills I have gained within industry have enabled me to see past purely numbers and understand the effect those same numbers have on people,” explained Mr Doan.
A Fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Mr Doan began his working career getting his hands dirty, literally, working down the coal mine as a management trainee at the National Coal Board in Derbyshire.
He soon realised his future lay in accountancy, achieving Partner level in accountancy practice as well as director level in industry.
