SHEPHERD Chartered Surveyors has responded to a marked upturn in the residential property market throughout the Borders with the appointment of Michael Rutherford as a surveyor in its Galashiels office.
A graduate of Heriot-Watt University, where he achieved an honours degree in Estate Management, Rutherford’s primary role is residential valuation, carrying out Home Report surveys and valuations for mortgage purposes. He is also a qualified domestic energy assessor.
Of his appointment, Rutherford, whose home town is Selkirk, said: “I’m delighted to join such a well-known firm as Shepherd at such an auspicious time for the property market in the Borders, which has seen a notable increase in activity over recent weeks.”
