EMPLOYEES at a leading North-east marine equipment specialist are bristling with enthusiasm over their efforts to raise funds for the ARCHIE Foundation.
Staff at Boyndie-based Motive Offshore, which manufactures and hires modern marine equipment, including winches and associated lifting apparatus, have been cultivating facial foliage over the past month as part of ‘Beards for Bairns’.
The charity initiative sees participants forego shaving for a month to help fund the activities of the ARCHIE Foundation, which provides support to sick children and their families.
Their pogonotrophy – or cultivation of facial hair – has raised over £700 for the ARCHIE Foundation.
