LEADING mid-tier accountancy firm, French Duncan, has promoted Euan Ferries, a director in its corporate advisory team, to partner.
Since joining the firm as a director in 2005, Ferries has been involved in a wide range of corporate finance related assignments, including business acquisitions and disposals, due diligence, business planning, fund raising and other ad hoc assignments.
He has a particular specialism in securing public sector funding and, in particular, grants. Indeed, over the last eight years, Ferries and his team have assisted clients in securing over £80m of grants, including Regional Selective Assistance (RSA), Food Processing, Marketing and Co-operation Grants (FPMC) and SMART awards.
Prior to joining French Duncan, Ferries gained valuable commercial experience outwith the profession heading the finance function in a printing and signage business.
Of his promotion, Ferries said: “I’m delighted to become a partner at a time when our corporate advisory team is managing a marked uplift in activity, with more transactions being instigated and more and more clients looking to grow and actively seeking funding opportunities.”
Congratulating Ferries on his promotion, French Duncan managing partner, Graeme Finnie, said: “I have worked with Euan for over eight years and his ability to deliver a great service to clients as well as his ability to get on with everyone he meets makes him an exceptional and highly-prized individual.
“Of particular value in the current economic climate is his extensive network of contacts in the public and private funding arenas. Euan’s promotion to partner is further evidence of the commitment and faith that French Duncan has in its award-winning corporate advisory team.”
