A NEW events company specialising in vintage-inspired workshops has been named winner of a ‘best business idea’ competition as part of the Glasgow for Business Week at the ‘New Start Scotland’ event that took place in the city last month.
Love Vintage Events received the accolade from Jobs and Business Glasgow.
Founded in September by Camilla Halstead, Love Vintage Events offers vintage inspired event solutions inspired by the 1920s through to the 1960s, from educational and creative workshops to bespoke prop hire and venue styling.
It provides an alternative platform to embrace old-fashioned activities, educating customers on the skills that were used in the yesteryears as well as helping to promote recycling and upclying. The expert led creative workshops and activities are popular with private events, in particular hen parties and give guests the opportunity to embrace and celebrate the much-loved decades, including craft workshops, dance workshops (Lindy Hop, charleston, Northern Soul or Disco), hair and beauty masterclasses and pin up photoshots – all teamed up with afternoon tea or vintage 1920s style cocktail party.
Love Vintage Events also provides a unique styling and planning service for events of all sizes – from an intimate cocktail party to a fabulous full-scale wedding, creating unforgettable moments and stunning events that will transport customers back in time.
