The biggest ever Clyde 1 LIVE proves to be the hottest ticket in town
as December 13 gig sells out
GLASGOW and the West’s number one commercial radio station, Clyde 1, has today (15 Nov) announced that this year’s Clyde 1 LIVE concert at the SSE Hydro has sold out.
Taking place on Friday 13 December, Clyde 1 LIVE, in partnership with ROX Diamonds & Thrills, is being held at the stunning new Glasgow venue and will kick off a year of celebrations to mark the station’s 40th birthday.
All public sale tickets have now gone, but fans can still win their way to one of Scotland’s premier music events by tuning in to Clyde 1. The station has ten final pairs of tickets up for grabs and will update listeners, on-air, how they can get their hands on them.
For corporate groups, there is a limited number of tables available for the special pre-show charity event where guests will enjoy a unique dining experience and premier concert seats, with all profits going to Clyde 1’s charity, Cash for Kids. Further information can be requested from cashforkids@radioclyde.com.
This year’s show sees Gary Barlow, lead singer and songwriter of boy band giants Take That, performing a host of classic hits alongside new material.
On the back of releasing his first solo album in 14 years, ‘Since I Saw You Last’ (out on 25 Nov), the X Factor judge will share the stage with a star-studded line-up including: The Saturdays, McFly, Union J, Rizzle Kicks, Little Mix, Naughty Boy, John Newman, Shane Filan, Tom Odell, Neon Jungle, The Vamps and George Bowie.
The event will be the biggest ever hosted by the station with more than 11,000 music fans packing out the stunning new venue to enjoy a mix of the very best UK pop music.
George Bowie, breakfast show host for 102.5 Clyde 1, said:
“This year’s show is going to be a fantastic experience for both the fans and artists and I cannot wait to feel the experience atmosphere in The Hydro. I can’t believe I’m going to perform in the same lineup as Gary Barlow, The Saturdays and McFly and I’ll be just as starstruck when I meet all the other acts too.
“With the lineup that’s on offer, I’m not surprised that tickets have sold out already. However, fans shouldn’t give up hope yet as we’ve still got ten final pairs to give away. Anyone who hasn’t managed to get their hands on one should be sure to tune in to Clyde 1 between now and the show so they don’t miss out on a chance to join us at Clyde 1 LIVE!”
As Scotland’s largest entertainment venue, The Hydro is the only facility of its scale in the UK built specifically for concerts and will provide a spectacular setting for what is one of the most anticipated Scottish music events of the year.
