RS Occupational Health has announced a six-figure investment and the creation of ten new jobs, thanks to the launch of a new division which is set to play a key role in future expansion plans.
Following recent news that the company is to relocate its Aberdeen headquarters to larger premises in the city, RS Occupational Health has announced that it is to establish a new offshore health division thanks to initial investment of £250,000.
The new division – which will generate additional employment in the company’s Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth clinics – has been formed in response to client demand and will provide offshore medics as well as topside cover including 24/7 medical advice to those working in offshore locations throughout the UK sector.
Commenting on the launch, RS Occupational Health chair, Fiona Sommerville, said: “Because we are adding to the services we offer to our growing client base, this opens up a completely new area of business which was previously unavailable to us.
“We have listened to our clients who have expressed a desire for innovative delivery of services and this new arm of the business will benefit from robust procedures which will enhance the quality of delivery for client companies.
“We believe that our extensive knowledge of and expertise in the offshore industry and its geographical and logistical challenges make us well placed to offer an excellent level of quality care to our clients and enhance our current suite of services.”
