ABERDEEN-based company, Jasmine Holdings Group, is celebrating a bumper financial year for its six companies.
Jasmine – a portfolio of strong local brands including James Aiken Engineering Solutions, Printagraph, Jasmine Property Investments, Revolve Systems, Citrus:Mix and The Barber’s Pole – has doubled its collective turnover to £11 million within the last five years.
Danny Cowie, group managing director of Jasmine Holdings Group, said: “We are very proud of each of the companies behind the Jasmine name. Reaching our record turnover has been a direct result of the talented and dynamic teams representing each of the brands.
“As a group, importance has been placed upon planning, strategy and investment which is now really bearing fruit, standing us in good stead as we look to build on our successes and continue investing in great business people with great ideas. The foundations are now in place for Jasmine’s business activities to turnover £20million within the next five years.”
Jasmine Holdings Group was founded in the mid-1990s by businessmen, George Cowie and Neil Stewart. Since then, the group has grown significantly, expanding into new areas including property, office supplies, retail, the supply and maintenance of office machines and latterly integrated communications.
The group is also heavily involved with the local community and is behind the well-known Jasmine Charity Challenge, established in 2010.
The initiative successfully brings together six North-east academies, charities and the business community in a bid to encourage young entrepreneurs to improve their business skills and awareness.
The total amount donated through this initiative now stands at an impressive £200,000.
The Jasmine group of companies employs over 130 staff across Aberdeen and 2013 has brought a significant milestone with the 30th anniversary of Printargraph, which began producing reprographics with just one member of staff in 1983.
It has grown into a business with a 35-strong workforce and the anniversary celebrations have coincided with an exceptional year for the firm – which has posted a record ten per cent increase in turnover to £4.2 million, up from the £3.8 million recorded the previous year.
