THE seals, penguins and meerkats at St Andrews Aquarium tucked into a tasty Hallowe’en treat yesterday when they were given carved out pumpkins containing their favourite foods.
St Andrews Aquarium launched animal feeding sessions two years ago and, in response to customer demand, are now re-launching their Peckish Penguins, Meerkat Munchies and Hungry Seals feeding sessions this autumn to allow for two people from the same party to get up close and personal with the animals.
To celebrate the re-launch St Andrews Aquarium treated the residents to a tasty carved out pumpkin containing their favourite treats, which the meerkats duly munched on and the seals and penguins proceeded to play with.
John Mace, manager of St Andrews Aquarium, commented: “We originally offered the feeding experiences to two individuals, but sometimes they could be from different families and many people wanted to experience it with a friend or a partner.
“Now it will be an exclusive experience for two – great for birthdays, special occasions and gift experiences.”
